MOHS surgery is an outpatient technique with one of the highest cure rates for Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma, and some Melanomas. The procedure uses a local numbing medicine and removes skin cancer tissue while doing minimum damage to surrounding healthy tissue. Microscope slides are made in the office and examined throughout surgery so Dr. Caban can save as much good tissue as possible – removing only cancerous cells.

Dr. Caban had been performing MOHS surgery since 1991 in Tampa, Florida, tackling both simple and highly complex cases. Today, he repairs the surgical site himself, reconstructing and grafting skin as necessary to give patients beautiful, natural-looking results.
